Experience with Quest Recovery Manager

Has anyone here had any experience using Quest Recovery Manager to restore an Exchange public folder to an alternate location?  I have a customer that is trying to do this.  We both understand that process is not officially supported by Veritas or Microsoft.  I'm hoping a forum member has been able to make this work.  They have the server setup, I've done some basic OS type backups and restores to make sure that NBU can talk to the client for both operations.  I'm seeing these errors in the restore log.  I'm still waiting to get the client side logs from the customer.  I do not have access to that server to login and look myself.  I redacted the server names.

Never used it myself - but I have worked somewhere where the MS Exchange admin used it to select/restore specific mails from a mailstore database which had been restored by NetBackup - i.e. a kind of GRT.   Back then we (backup admins) had to perform the NetBackup restore of a mailstore database, and then handover to an MS Exchange admin who would use Quest to copy out the required indvidual users, folders. emails etc.

Your message implies that Quest will now do teh heavy lifting and also perform the NetBackup mailstore database restore?  Is that right?  Or does the use of Quest still involve a two stage process?

I can't speak for the client side, I'm just trying to run the restore to the system running the Quest emulation tool.  It does not look like the NBU client is able to connect and talk to the "exchange" service.  I have no idea why.  What they do with it when they are done, I don't know.  I've done hundreds of normal mail DB to a recovery DB.  This is a Public Folder which is a whole different thing.  The only officially supported restore for these is back over top of the original.
