FTL - Couldn't allocation memory, Status 10 (allocation failed)

Our Windows Netbackup Master/Media Server (6.5.3) is trying to back up a 32-bit Linux server client to tape, but for the past several days, we've been getting:

Critical Backup from client <linux client>: FTL - Couldn't allocate memory
Error Backup of client <linux client> exited with status 10 (allocaiton failed)

The we upgraded the Linux server from 3 GBs of RAM to 4GBs, but we're still getting the error. The Linux server is dedicated to storing files from other servers for Netbackup to grab - no other apps are running on it.  The backup is of fewer than 100 files taking up a total of 120GBs of space. Until this week, we have not had these problems over the past year. Other backups from other clients run successfully.

Any thoughts on what to try next?
Thanks - Mike

The only thing I can think of is checking bpbkar logs on that client. There should be some clue (memory allocation errors, shared memory problems).
