Already checked name resolution, service account privileges, desactiveted antivirus software and the error still persist.

the client runs on a virtual machine, the master is a physical server. master 6.5.3, client 6.0MP7.

check that the client has disk space on the C drive as well as where you are restoring to.

Bounce the netbackup service on the client.

and try again.

Already checked... Restoration space and C: is ok. I tried bouncing the service too.

Check the bpbrm log for more specific error message.
On the client, start -> run -> services.msc 
Make sure that the netbackup client service is run as a user who has administrative privileges.
Is the destination client other than the source client? if yes, then try to restore the backup of the problem client itsef.

The netbackup client service is running with full administrative privileges on the server.

In addition, tar debug log on client will be needed.
