Finding Duplicate Images

Hi all,

          I have netbackup 6.5 in our environment. The VTL that we have been using has malfunctioned and we have to replace some LUNs in the VTL. We have identified the VTL cartridges that are in the LUNs to be replaced with vendor support. Now the task is to find out duplicate images in those cartriges. Please advice Can duplicate images can be identified using copy number. Please advise.

use the gui Catalog and do a search

if you know the server name or even the tape number that one of the images is on

you can do the search and it will show you the other tape the copy is on.

Don't know the command line for it but sure you could do it there as well.

Yes, the wole purpose of copy number is to identify duplicates.
