I having this problem after upgrade 6.5.5 to 7.5.0.5 . I found that there are some duplicate entry in my nbemmcmd when i do a -listhosts.

There are total of 3 entry with this . 2 are the media server hostname and one are the NDMP host.

It is safe to remove those dumpy entries?

This is happen because in the past, these servers were part of the netbackup domain and there are some backups images or fragments point to these hosts.

This is not a big problem and will cause no harm if you do not delete them.

I had the same problem, but the commands bpimagelist, bpimmedia and bpimage could not find any backups done by teh forain media servers. I open a case to support to clean my database.

You should do the same. If you just delete these foreign media servers, without cleaning your netbackup database, they will come back again after the next upgrade.
