You can always use the bpdbjobs command. bpdbjobs -all_columns -report -jobid <num1>,<num2>
It could also be that the VSS writer is still working on the dump and you will not see the progress till its done.

As per tech note : http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH65123
I found the output field for bpdbjobs -all_columns
But unfortunately there is 0 showing under , not sure what else to check over.

I just noticed that this is NetBackup 7.0.1. look at HOWTO73100 (Everything you need to know to get Sharepoint granular backups to work) Upgrading to a newer version could help.

GRT backup requires a disk-based storage unit and you need to have "server for NFS" enabled on the media server, "client for NFS" enabled on the Sharepoint hosts.
7.0.1 is quite old, consider upgrading to newer version which has many bug fixes.

But previously the backups vere runnig fine, suddenly they are not showing any data kb writes.

More than a month of no update to this discussion...
Have you created logs on Sharepoint client?
And media server?
Logs that will tell us what exactly is happening during the backup:
On client: bpbkar
On media server: bpbrm and bptm
Copy logs to .txt files (e.g. bpbkar.txt) and upload as File attachments.
From Sharepoint point of view, have a look at Event Viewer Application log to see if anything is logged there.

Apart from those Marianne mentioned, nbfsd as well on both media server and the Sharepoint front-end clients.
