Getting Status 84 on Catalog Backup after upgrade to v5.1 MP3

We just upgraded to v5.1 MP3 from v4.5 FP5 on the master server. Now, we are getting Status 84s on the DB Backup portion of Vault (Catalog Backup). Multiple tapes and drives have been tested and the same issue arises.

The majority of the media servers are still v4.5 FP5. The Media Server used for the catalog backup was v5.1 MP3.

Any ideas?

Apparently, Vault Profiles ignored the following:

masterserver:/usr/openv/netbackup/db/*

Since we do a 2 step catalog backup, we had to exclude the images directory. I had to explicitly list all the directories in /usr/openv/netbackup/db/ minus the images directory.

So, the root cause was a tape cartridge filling up.

Kudos to the Veritas Support staff for helping find this one. I hope it makes it to the vault v5.1 MP3 readme file.
