Maybe answers to these questions will help us understand what is happening here...
Any possibility that a media server may be down or unreachable?
How long does 'nbemmcmd -getemmserver' command on master server take to contact and get reply back from all media servers?
Have you been able to find Java logs on the Windows desktop?

Your OS selection shows AIX. This means you are not opening a GUI directly on the master, right?
Which 'Console' are you using? Where are you using this GUI?
What is in /usr/openv/volmgr/vm.conf on the master server?
07-23-2014 01:26 AM
Os master server is AIX
We have opened GUI from my desktop, we have netbackup java version 7.5 installed on my desktop
#cat /usr/openv/volmgr/vm.conf
MM_SERVER_NAME = nbmaster-nb
SSO_HOST_NAME = nbmaster-nb
SCRATCH_POOL = Scratch_Pool
REFRESH_RATE = 120
DO_NOT_EJECT_STANDALONE
API_BARCODE_RULES
VERBOSE
Note: we have installed 7.5.0.4 on master server 2 years agoand we haven't made any changes since then

Are there multiple network interfaces on the master?
I seem to remember a similar issue in another forum post some time ago.
Let me see if I can find details....
07-23-2014 02:46 AM
yes there are two interfaces on master server
07-23-2014 02:49 AM
Only when we click on "media" tab in the console the console will hang other than media tab, activity monitor and policies are loading successfully.
Please provide any suggesstion Marianne, completely depending on you

@Marianne we are using two interfaces from longtime and all the clients and media server communicate to master server using nbmaster-nb.
Below are the two interfaces
nbmaster
nbmaster-nb

just curious, while you said your master server host is nbmaster, why in the screenshot (your 1st post) it was sun107-nb?
07-23-2014 03:37 AM
@watsons dont want to mention exact name due to security reasons
07-23-2014 03:46 AM
OK, you probably want to edit your 1st post to reflect that.. otherwise it's going to be confusing for helpers around here..

If this is not the issue here, please check that this Java log exists on the master server:
/usr/openv/netbackup/logs/user_ops/nbjlogs
Check this log for errors and let us know.

What is the date/timestamp on this log? This seems to be a log that was created last time there was an attempt to start Java GUI on the master.
The logs that we are looking for may be on the Windows host where you are using the Java console.
Apologies for 'shooting in the dark' - I do not have access to a NBU installation at the moment to compare.
Check Windows system for logs over here: <install_path>\Veritas\Java\logs
(Hopefully someone with access to a similar environment can check and confirm for us?)
07-23-2014 05:49 AM
It is today's recent log
07-23-2014 06:00 AM
That log says that jnbSA was attempted on the AIX server but DISPLAY variable was not set.
If you are using Java Console on Windows desktop, please check this system for Java log(s).
The same info should be logged as in the cmd window that is started along with the Java GUI.

Can you try connecting to the master server using admin console and check if you see this issue.
07-24-2014 03:58 AM
@Marianne
I observed once I click on media console goes hang and it gets working after 2 hrs, will there be any reason for the slowness.

The connection is slow, the media tab is opening after 1 hour.
