Hello,
My granular backup worked for years and years but now it fails without any changes or updates.
Other backups like exchange database are still working.
Exchange 2007 / Windows Server 2008 standard (backuped with netbackup V7.5 / Win Server 2008R2)

Hello,
you will have to go through GRT prerequisities if they are still in place. See doc and/or KB's, there are many.
One month ago I came across a similar issue with Sharepoint GRT and it revealed that "Replace a process level token" permission was removed by a MS/AD policy.
Regards
Michal

There's not enough information here.
- For Exchange 2007, using snapshots was optional.
- What are the backup selections in the policy?
- Did MAPI / CDO get uninstalled or disabled on the Exchange server?
- Do you have NetBackup 7.5? There were many improvements from there to 7.5.0.6. You can put 7.5.0.6 on the client without upgrading the servers.
When you see errors or warnings "from client" posted by bpbrm in the job details, look at client logs for more information. If you are using snapshots, start with the bpfis log. Otherwise start with the bpbkar log. Status 71 comes from bpbkar32 when it does not find any "files" (Exchange objects) that match the backup directives it receives.
A GRT backup should not care about "Microsoft Exchange Mailboxes" or "Microsoft Exchange Public Folders." These are policy selections used for the older "brick level" backups based on MAPI. (GRT for Exchange 2007 also uses MAPI, but later in the workflow.)

Thanks for your reply.
I have NetBackup 7.5.0.7
I created a whole new policy to save mails and public folders but it does not work.
Do you have a process to perform a diagnostic on this type of error ?

What are your backup selections? Are you specifying databases and using GRT, or are you specifying mailboxes and public folders?
Do you have CDO MAPI installed on the Exchange server?
I don't have an app to open your xps file. Please use a current format. But before you do, look at the bpbkar log yourself. What warning and error messages do you find?
