Hi,

we have windows client on exchange DAG mail box servers

OS:windows 2012

NBU Version: 7.6.0.3

how can I set the Clean up frequency for legacy logs to one week on individual clients? this logs size are huge due to high verbosity and we are facing some intermittent issue.

is it possible to set the clean up frequency at the client end?

III. Configuring log file rotation
Set the Keep logs configuration setting to a lower value.  The default is to keep 28 days of debug logging information.  Setting this to a lower setting, such as 3 to 5 days, will result in fewer log files being kept on the server.
To change this setting via the NetBackup Java Administration Console:

- Go to Host Properties > Master servers and bring up the properties for the master server.

- Select Clean-up and change the value for Keep Logs from the default of 28 days to a value of 5 days. (7 days in your case)

- Click OK to save the changes.

- It is necessary to restart NetBackup for these changes to take effect.

The Clean Up in Host Properties on the master server applies to all servers and clients in the environment.

If the Client prosesses that you are tracking are bpcd and/or bpbkar, you can enable robust logging for the client :

All legacy logs are covered by Days to keep logs on the master. The list of legacy logs covered by robust logging and configurable with vxlogcfg are documented in TECH125990. All unified logs are configurable with vxlogcfg.
