How to Backup IBM spectrum Scale ESS

Can i Backup IBM Spectrum scale ESS with Veritas Netbackup as i can't find it in the HCL,

The only document i found that they Spectrum scale as a Target .

I am not an IBM expert but according to my reading Spectrum Scale ESS is built on IBM Spectrum Scale (formely GPFS). Ask for a confirmation from IBM and if yes the underlying GPFS version

at least ask them if Spectrum Scale ESS is posix compliant.

Extract from NBU SCL :

"NetBackup supports backing up file data on all POSIX compliant file systems"

since GPFS can be backed up by NBU... I guess there is no issue. You just need the correct NBU client (I mean for Linux or AIX) and be aware that using GPFS a device may be mounted to multiple client so it can be backed up multiple times...
