How to adjust disk space in DataDomain DP

Chandru__J
Not applicable

I am creating new disk pool in Netbackup 7.7.2. Storage Unit is created with DD boost user in DD. When I create a disk pook, it takes complete space of the DD. I would like to know if I can reduce the size of disk pool after creation. Many Thanks

Why?

Space on the Data Domain is fictional anyway, due to deduplication. I have over 600TB written to the 100TB of storage I have.

If you want to set hard limits, so one group does not over flow your storage, you may be able to limit it using MTREE - I would check on the EMC forums, it definitely won't be a NetBackup issue.

NetBackup 9.1.0.1 on Solaris 11, writing to Data Domain 9800 7.7.4.0
duplicating via SLP to LTO5 & LTO8 in SL8500 via ACSLS

I agree with Genericus -- better to have this sorted with EMC.
