How to backup a Windows 2012 server (VM) using NBU 7.1

Is there any means by which we can backup Windows 2012 Server (VM) using NBU 7.1??

Yes. You can log a call with Symantec Support and request the 7.1.0.4 installation download for W2012.

Best is to upgrade your master server to 7.5.0.6 so that you can download and install the special 7.5.0.6 installation media for W2012: 

NB_7.5.0.6.winnt.x64.Client.Win2012.exe provides a full installer for NetBackup 7.5.0.6 Client on Windows 2012 Server and Windows 8 Client.

Oh! I see this is a VM - how are you backing up your other VM hosts?

You can back the 2012 VM up using VMware backup (FlashBackup policy type in 7.1).
