Hi All,
I am running NBU 7.5 on Linux machine.
My NAS device gives me option to change the port, instead of using default port of NBU, i.e., port no:- 10000
So how can I change the port on my NBU server? So I can test my NAS box with different port.
Best Regards,
Ashish Barot.

Hi,
You need to add new NDMP port entry in Etc/services on media server.
eg:- NDMP 12000/TCP
Thanks,

Hi,
I had tried this, but backup is failing.
I had added 2 more lines in /etc/services, and set port no 15000 on my NAS device, then restarted NBU services.

You need to replace the 1st two lines with the 15000 entries.
No guarantee that it will work, as port 10000 for NDMP is an industry standard.

Why do you want to change away from port 10000 ?

My NAS box support different ports, so I want to test those ports.

Please don't start changing ports just because 'My NAS box support different ports'.
As per my previous post - port 10000 is an industry standard. Don't change things just because your are curious to see if it works.

I support Marianne on this. You already edit port 10.000 and now the backup doesnt work.
See the picture :)
