How to configure agent sybase Netbackup

Good afternoon! Can anyone teach me simply and clearly how to configure a server using NetBackup Sybase agent. I never made this setting, and so full of doubts.

Hi there are sample scripts under /usr/openv/netbackup/bin, which can be used.

but it is better suggestion by SymGuy-IT to  go through the documentation. :)

I have done it

yu have to go to directory  /usr/openv/netbackup/bin

then run ./sybase_config & then define the home directory of sybase instance and it will link NBU libraries to sybase libraries.

now customize scripts in /usr/openv/netbackup/ext/db_ext/sybase/scripts accoding to your requirements.

make a separate script for each db and run all scripts from single policy, while creating a full backup schedule in policy keep the name of schedule "database_dump".

in script you need two policies, one of type sybase which will server purpose for parameter "SYBACKUP_POLICY" and other one is STANDARD type with user backups schdulefor parameter "SYB_FILES_POLICY".

 I got back up the database , is now doing successfully .

But I can not back up the transaction , you know what is the procedure to back up the transaction ?

Have you created transaction log schedule in the same policy ?

Please create transaction logs schedule in the same policy (DB dump backup policy), it will work..

if it does not work, please share your script with me.
