How to configure my CIFS share in Netbackup so that backups are directly stored on the CIFS share.

Hello,

          I have a CIFS share created on a netapp box and now I want to add it to the Ntebackup(may be in STU) so that i can directly store my backups on it. Will it be possible if yes how? any doc on it will be much appreciated?

I have moved this post to the NetBackup forum.

To configure CIFS as Storage Unit, add the path in Basic Disk Storage Unit as UNC path.

Next, change logon service for these 2 NBU services to a Domain user with full rights to the share:

  • NetBackup Client Service

  • NetBackup Remote Manager and Monitor Service
