I am new to Symantec NetBackup 7.5. I wanted to delete the old backup files from the backup storage.
Pls help.

Take a look at the bpexpdate command:
http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO43656
And this old thread:
Using the NBU gui : Catalog - Search - enter search chritia - Mark backups - right click - Expire.

NBU will automatically expire backups based on the retention in Policy schedules.
Backups should not be manually removed/expired.

Thanks for your prompt reply.
I know it should not be deleted. But if I want, can I able to delete it ?? Suppose I don't have enough space to
take another important backup. At that time I want to delete some other old backup.

I agree if Marianne, but if you still want to delete a backup from storage to free up space, should be done as posted Nicolai.
I suggest to you have another disk space and run a "Manual relocation" from "Storage Units" view to free up space from this storage and move some images to another disk space or storage.

Thank you all .. I am just in a testing phase. So I am just browsing all the possibilities.

bpexpdate is perfectly fine for test backups.
It helps if you provide all relevant information!
