We intend to migrate master NetBackup6.0 on AIX to master NetBackup6.5 on Linux system.
I would like to know if this is possible, then what are the prerequisites, steps and full procedure please to do this migration.

Please follow the steps to recover catalog from AIX Master to Linux server.
1) Take Full Hot Catalog backup from AIX Master Server.
2) Install Netbackup on Linux Machine, make sure the Version of Netbackup you are installing is similar to that of AIX Master with same host name as the AIX.
3) Once the installation of Netbackup is done on Linux Master configure devices and move the catalog tape to the Library attached to Linux machine(You need to make the zone changes also to make the library visible from Linux)
4) Transfer the DR file from AIX Master to Linux machine
5) Run /install_path/netbackup/bin/admincmd/bprecover -wizard
6) And specify the path of the DR file which is on the Linux machine, make sure the hostname of AIX Master and the new Linux master server should similar.
