How to make sure local disk storage is selected for its own backups

I have a customer who is attempting to

This particular scenario involves Oracle/RAC clients that are setup as data movers (SAN Media Server) each accessing the same Domain Disk Pool for backups.  The RMAN script is executed on one of the nodes and RMAN  distributes the backup load to all nodes… Since there can be only one backup policy there is no method to define multiple STU – e.g. one per client for such a scenario.  So we need to have one STU with all the data movers in it (clients) and need to have each client select the local data mover for its backups.

As said in my previous email I have observed that If  MUST_USE_LOCAL_DRIVE is enabled and the data mover is also a client then NetBackup will queue the job of the data mover is not available which means that this option also applies to disk pools.  If possible  I would like a more in depth documentation regarding the selection of the Media Server in a disk pool (e.g. what checking is done and how a Media Server is assigned).  The manual does not explain much… it only mentions of that selection is based on Media Server load.

Moreover, the customer is planning on having up to hundreds of clients deployed as SAN Media Server (data movers)… Therefore having a single STU and single SLPs for each client may not be very desirable.
