How to restore imported expired tapes from netbackup 4.5 to 5.1 ?

Hello,

I have imported expired tapes from netbakup 4.5 server in a new pool called "restore" on my new 5.1 netbackup server.
I used to restore datas from the actual catalog. I can't find the imported tapes in the catalog. What do I need to do to be able to restore using a MS exchange file format ?

Jerome,

When you upgrade to 5.x from 4.5 the Netbackup Database changes, as far as I know youll have to install 4.5 on a test server and stick this in the vm.conf file on the test server.

FORCE_RESTORE_MEDIA_SERVER = prod_server_name test_server_name.

You mean I ll have to install an old version of netbacup to restore tapes from data center 4.5 instead of importing in 5.1 ?
