How to setup Netbackup off-host alternate backup for linux client

Anyone in this forum can assist me with clarification on the setup requirements to implement Netbackup "off-host alternate backup for linux client and netbackup flashbackup policy". Thank you.

First check is making sure the wanted configuration is listed in the snapshot compatibility matrix

Thank you for your reply but my question is how to set up the alternate client (linux or windows) , I read the Veritas NetBackup Advanced Client 6.0_System Admin Guide but it doesn't say how to do that. Thank you.

Are you on Netbackup 6.0 ????

Netbackup 6.0 is long time out of support and it wont't support modern Linux versions.

Alternate client must be the same OS as the backup client.

No, we are running on NBU 7.7.3. I checked on nbu 7.7  docs but not abe to see it

You firstly need to know which offhost method to use: supported array snapshot or else VxVM with full volume snapshots (disk group split and join).
