From here:

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=DOC5332&nbplp

Find the install guide for the version of NBU you are removing/ installing.

For example, this is the 7.6 guide

http://www.symantec.com/docs/DOC6447

This is the 7.5 install guide

http://www.symantec.com/docs/DOC5154

If you look in here, there are the correct instructions for uninstalling the software from different OS types.

As it is the install guide, it also covers installing media server software.  The Java install is installed as part of the media server install (jnbSA), but if you wish to run the Java console from Windows, you would need to install it, it's available on the Windows install DVD.

I don't know what you mean by this, access and manager another media server from the master - ?

Once the media server is installed, there is nothing to 'manage' on it, just leave it to run and do it's thing.  All NBU operatioons can be controlled from the master, or from the Java or windows admin console running from another machine, this 'other machine' could be you're laptop for example, or another media server.

I have install one more media server (AIX OS) in my netbackup domain (On Windows).

So can we view this additional media server on master server automatically or we have to do some additional configuration.

Yes. You can manage AIX media server from your Windows master server.

You need to confirm the following requirements:

Forward and reverse name lookup between master and media server.
If AIX server is not on DNS, add hosts entries on Master and Media server.
(Remember to clear host_cache after adding hosts entries. See  http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH136792 )

Ensure port 1556 is open bi-directional between master and media server.

Add Server entry for AIX media server hostname on Windows master server. Restart NBU on master.

When you install AIX media server, follow steps in Installation Guide.
Ensure you specify Windows server hostname as Master and EMM server and that AIX server is installed as Media server.
Add Server license key. If media server will be attached to robotic library, add Library Based Tape Drive license. If drives are shared, SSO license as well.

After successful installation, you should be able to verify comms from master server with these commands:

nbemmcmd -listhosts -verbose
nbemmcmd -getemmserver

If devices can be seen and used at OS level on AIX server, you can use the GUI on Windows master to configure devices, storage units, policies, etc for the media server.

Hope this helps.
