How to update individual client software to 7.6.1.1 on master server?

Hello,

I have Netbackup master server on Solaris. Recently, I updated it to 7.6.1.1.

Today, I've installed additional client software(for Linux systems)  on master server(ver 7.6.1) and now I've looking for solution how to update them to 7.6.1.1 without reinstalling complete pack NB_CLT_7.6.1.1. And, especially, without restarting NBU daemons on master server(as NB_CLT pack requiring).

P.S. Sorry, for my english.

Your English is perfectly clear

You can't patch while deamons are running - Sorry. You need to run NB_update.install again with the -p option to override the version check.

E.g.:

 ./NB_update.install -p

then select NB_CLT_7.6.1.1

You will get a message about exactly the issue you are having:

Unless you are installing a new platform
type for a previously installed package,
it is strongly recommended that this package,
be uninstalled before reinstalling.

Then procees to update previous installed clients.

Use Netbackup Live Update policy to upgrade your all clients to master server version, without logging to client server and without restart of netbackup master server daemons.

In this case, I'll update all software to ver. 7.6.1.2 during next downtime.

Thanks for your response.
