Hello support,

I try to install the clients in Redhat 5 Ent' Server but can't.

I use uname to see my Linux version is "Linux <my server name> 2.6.18 - 274.el5PAE #1 SMP Fri Jul 8 17:59:09 EDT 2011 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux"

then when I install it let me choose the OS Level, than I choose the Redhat 2.6, then it said:

"Detected an attempt to install incorrect platform and/or operating system and version client binaries on <My server name>"

So what I can do ? Even I choose other also but doesn't work either.

Detected an attempt to install incorrect platform and/or operating system and version client binaries on client-abc.

Snippet:

For NetBackup 7.0 to work with 32-bit Linux clients there are two options:

1.  Install NetBackup 6.5 client software on this server.  NetBackup 6.5 supports 32-bit Linux platforms but before doing this confirm that the specific client operating system and architecture is supported by reviewing the NetBackup 6.5 Operating System Compatibility List.  NetBackup 7.0 Master/Media Servers support NetBackup 6.5.x clients.

2.  Migrate the 32-bit Linux Client to a 64-bit platform (x86_64) that is supported by NetBackup 7.0, then install the NetBackup 7.0 client software.

I think you're running 32bit

"Linux <my server name> 2.6.18 - 274.el5PAE #1 SMP Fri Jul 8 17:59:09 EDT 2011 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux"

Correct?

7.1 isn't supported on 32bit
