I wonder if anyone of you has ever tried to install IBMTape driver on Solaris NetBackup server, instead of standard "st" driver. I have examined IBM redbook "Implementing IBM Tape in unix system"
http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/abstracts/sg246502.html?Open and it vaguely states that NetBackup 6.0 on Solaris doesn't support these drivers. The cause of my asking this is that this driver enables some neat features like CPF and DPF and offers a number of CLI diagnostic tools.
