Image expiry does not free up media.

Hi All,

when I expire some images, it does not free up the media at the same time, but it takes about a days time.

can I manually run any command to free up media right after image expiry.

Thanks

Gorav

bpexpdate -deassignempty should do just that!

The thing to remember tho' is that ALL the images on the tape need to have expired to enable the media to be deassigned.

***EDIT***

The reason it appears to take some time is probably due to the fact that it's waiting for the scheduled cleanup job to run (every 12 hours? - there's a T/N somewhere that details this)
