hello,

we have a master server on windows 2008 R2, and the netbackup version installed on all media and master servers is 7.7.1 (previously up^graded from 7/5/0/6 to 7.7.1).

after the upgrade, all seems ok, but today, when i started importation of tapes from an external Site (action we do every monday), i recieved the error :

Phase 1 passed successfully, and images appears on catalog on the left, but when i right click on them and import, i recieve the error given above.

i added this clients to the hosts of media servers and master, i add the client to the admin hosts clients.. but no results.

i expired the volume, and did the import phase 1 (passed), but phase 2 same errors. started the import by line command same ...

could you help please ?

Hi,

Is this the first time you're running the import since the upgrade? Anything different between this import and the rest? Are all the tapes from the other site giving the error or only this one?

hello,

yes it's our first import since the upgrade.

except this issue, all seems ok.

the issue is on a second tape two, that is from the same infrastructure as the first.

Please check the logs in install_path\NetBackup\logs\admin\* to see more details about which host its looking for.

I agree with Riaan. Check admin log on the master as well as the host where you are running the imports from. Create the folder if it does not exist and retry the import. My guess is that there is an issue with media server name lookup, not client as there is no client comms or lookup during import.
