Importing tape to alternate master server

Is it possible to import a tape (LTO) from one master server to another?

Hi,

yes you can, do an double import on the new master server.

and make old master server entry in general server host properties of new master server.

yes, make sure the LTO types are set the same.

Thanks, we did have problems with 'volume pool does not exist' errors, even though the vol pool was on the other server.  We fixed the problem by changing the expiry period on the tape(!)
