In netbackup activity monitor all the backup jobs are in the queue, no backup job is progressing

In a backup environment, in the netbackup activity monitor all the backup jobs are in the queue, but no backup job is active or progressing.....all the backup jobs are getting queued.

 

What may be the issue ? How to solve this ? What steps need to be taken while solving this issue ?

Check the detailed status tab of job, what is showing ???

There is no detailed status of the backup jobs as all the backup jobs are in the queued state.

 

The queued backup jobs do not have any detailed status except that it will show that the backup job is in the queued state.

Maximum Jobs per client option in master server properties

1. Check the settimgs of your storage units.

2. Check if nbrb is up and running. I'd also recommend to invoke nbrbutil -resume.

Hi Subhadip,

 

Are you sure that all the Daemons are Active ?

 

Please make sure that communications between Master & Media Server goes fine without any N/W intrusions.

 

Otherwise, best way is to recycle Netbackup on the whole environment.
