Hello,

when the job status is incomplete, you cannot restore. When it is resumed and completed ok (status 0 or 1), you can restore.

Michal

Default time for an incomplete job to be marked as "Done" is 3 hours for a backup job. Could be different in your environment.

In the following situations, NetBackup starts a new job instead of resuming an
incomplete job:
■ If a new job is due to run, or, for calendar-based scheduling, another run day
has arrived.
■ If the time since the last incomplete backup was longer than the shortest
frequency in any schedule for the policy.
■ If the time indicated by the Clean-up property, Move backup job from
incomplete state to done state, has passed.

^^^^^^^^ information is from the Admin Guide.

Can the backup image that was incomplete be used for restore? The answer would be in that job details. Check the status of the job - the exit status should tell you if the job ended successfully (if admin corrected the cause of the incomplete).

What is the job status code? Anything higher than 1 is a failure. You cannot restore from it.
All catalog entries for the failed job gets removed when failed backup goes to Done state.
