Individual File Restore from a VM backup policy to Physical Linux server

Hi,

I want to restore individual files to a client that has the NetBackup agent installed. The Backup was from a VM in a VMware Policy but I want to restore to a different Physical Platform running Solaris.

Is this possible to do?

Master Server: Solaris

Media Server: Windows

Client: RedHat

I would just like to know if it is supported?

Thanks!

Yes it is supported.

However, you need to confirm whether the original VM backup was taken with "Enable file recovery from VM backup" selected in the "VMware" tab of the original backup policy.  Was/is it enabled?

Actually - support depends on the Linux version and filesystem.
