Hi,

I have below system:
1 dedicated master server, no tape drive attached.
2 media servers physical lun attached to 10 drives each

I have licenses : Ent Server, STD Client, Client App/DB and Tape Drive

Should I install licenses like this?
Install Ent license to 1 master and 2 master servers
NO STD client install in master and media servers, only install to clients
NO Client App/DB install in master and media servers, only install to necessary clients
Tape Drive license should install in master or media server?

Thanks,

You mean, I have to install all licenses to master and media servers?
How to know, used licenses of STD client or App Client?

Master server needs these license keys:

Enterprise Server
Standard Client
Application and Database Pack

Media servers need these license keys:

Enterprise Server
Library Based Tape Drives
If drives are shared, Shared Storage Option

As per Nagalla's excellent post - license keys are not and cannot be added to NBU Client installation.
License keys are added to the master server to enable the various policy types.

You need to keep track manually.

NBU will not stop working when number is exceeded, but to be legally compliant, you need to keep track.
