The solution?  Downgrade the client OS to CentOS 6, or upgrade your backup servers.

At the bottom Problem description of your first link for 7.5.0.7

This Maintenance Release requires NetBackup 7.5 or higher be installed before applying.

Oops, bigger problem, el7.x86_64 is RedHat 7.  Not supported with NetBackup 7.5

Hello Will, tks for attention. My master server with this NBU 7.5.0.7 and with S.O. "Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.1". I also tried to install another version of the NBU (V7.1) this client. Then, I ran the command: cat /etc/*-release and returned me this:

[root@host_client NetBackup_7.1_CLIENTS]# cat /etc/*-release
CentOS Linux release 7.2.1511 (Core)

A CentOS 7 client requires a minimum of NetBackup Client v7.6.0.4

https://download.veritas.com/resources/content/live/SFDC/41000/000040842/en_US/nbu_76_scl.html?__gda__=1457530502_e655eb6d65e0b2a8d3a6363aec7fd4fc#operating_systems-centos

. Your log even says: Detected an attempt to install incorrect platform and/or operating system and version client binaries on host_client.

I guess this is what happens when infrastructure applications are not upgraded regulalrly, then eventually the technology being deployed in the user base gets ahead of what the old infrastructure application versions can support.  After all, NetBackup v7.5 is quite old.

The solution?  Downgrade the client OS to CentOS 6, or upgrade your backup servers.
