Same Client binaries is used for Solaris 10 and 11.

See OS compatibility List: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH76648 under
Client Selections for Backup Policies

All NBU 7.x versions show Client selection as Solaris 10.

PBX will automatically get install/upgrad along with the Netbackup Client s/w installation..

to fix the above issue: Unintsall existing PBX and try again the Netbackup installation

below is the ref TN:

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH166562

Remove PBX with the appropriate native command as follows:
(Note: Remember, you should not remove PBX if your server uses other
Symantec software products that require PBX to run.)
AIX installp -u VRTSpbx
HP-UX swremove VRTSpbx
Linux rpm -e VRTSpbx
Solaris pkgrm VRTSpbx

The cp_to_client error message is likely the issue. Seems to be solved in this Connect thread.

https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/cptoclient-not-found

ERROR: Detected a failure running cp_to_client Solaris Solaris10.

OS issue...  Check permissions in /var/tmp.
Ownership should be root and permissions should be 1755 at least.
You are installing as root, right?
Also check umask value for root - should be 022 by default.

go to /usr/openv/netbackup/client/Solaris

see what are the folders that you are finding..

if you are seeing the solaris10, copy the Soalris10 to Solaris11

cp Soalris10 Soalris11

or els you can create the soft link to solaris11

ln -s Solaris10 Solaris11

then refresh the GUI.. now you should be able to see that..

Hello Nagalla,

Hope by default that should come with 7.6.0.1 since solaris 11 is supported since 7.1 if i am not wrong.

that is depends on the files that you extract at the time of installation..
