Hi everyone,

I just want to install media server on Solaris sparc 64. 

but no process, and i already left it for a night, and still no process:

root@asabridb02 # ./install

There is no error message and nothing else we can do,

does anyone know about this?

i already follow this step https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.000019662 and still no progress.

need help, because i can't open ticket due to EOS.

Hello All,

THanks for your help,

seems like it's error comes from Operating System,  we need to fix some kernel and still can't install.

and we move to another machne, and it's success to install.

so we move the media server to another machine.

Hello,

 

Participate in the NetBackup Product Improvement Program? [y,n] (y)

Its default behaviour, If you press enter or type Y it will try to connect to Veritas site. Its NBU telemetry, product improvement program.

Its required Internet connection on that server. If you are not interested in this program you can type 'n' and press enter. It will ignore the this option and continue the installation.

Kindly do not kill or cancel the install, if there is any issue in installation it will drop to prompt with error.

i already follow your step.

I already answer "n" and still no process.

but, how long that this step usually take time?

is it will immediately run after i answer n ?

The 'n' also take some time but less than 'y' option :)

Please don't kill installation. If any issue we will get error so according to error we will troubleshoot.

Without error it become very difficult for us to troubleshoot.

There was a similar issue on AIX, where the problem had to do with the libraries used if I remember correctly.

The standard questions: Have you checked: 1) What has changed. 2) The manual 3) If there are any tech notes or VOX posts regarding the issue
