For linux installs there are only a few methods that would be kind of what your looking for. Look at DOC5154, Page 133: About remote installation methods for UNIX clients. All of the methods listed are for remote push but you might be able to look though them and see if you can build a install script. Symantec will not be able to support the script, but you might get help with building that here.
