  ---------------------
While upgrading we are able to upgrade NBU_6.5.5 ,NBU_CLT_6.5.5 but when we upgrade the NBU_BMR_6.5.5 we are getting the above error..

Hardware: Sunfire X4450(X86)
OS: Solaris10 5/08

-----------------------
I have the below set of questions...

1)Does 6.5.4 support X86 architecture as BMR boot server?
2) How do we create ISO image without boot server.?
3)Do we need to install any package for this?

Could anyone please help me in solving this issue...

To complete the install of the BMR Master Server, install the BMR Master Server  6.5.4 or 6.5.5 patch files.  This process will re-start and complete the BMRDB initialization. No other action should be required.

To verify that the BMRDB is correctly installed and initialized, run the command:

/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bmrs -o query -res database -table CurrentVersion

Hello

I have created a BMR boot server w/ a windows 2003 server only,

that was so easy,

Why R U trying to do that over Solaris?

1) Don't know. Check the last O.S. compatibility matrix and search for "boot server".
2) I think you can't. That's precisely a Boot Server function.
3) Unix/Linux/Windows need the BBS (BMR Boot Server) base package & patch.

1) Does 6.5.4 support X86 architecture as BMR boot server?

The O/S CL says SPARC or x64 only - sorry!

Hi Wrobbins thanx for the quick response.

In our setup we installed the NBU 6.5.4 in the veritas cluster environment. by freezing the resources...We were able to upgrade NBU6.5.5 on inactive node but on the active node we got the error mentioned earlier..

The below command gives the error shown below..

# /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bmrs -o query -res database -table CurrentVersion
V-128-749 Operation failed due to network problem
[ERROR] V-123-49 Operation Failed
