Hi All,

You would be doing Remote NDMP where the data streams to the media server and the media server does all the writing via the plugin to the datadomain.

Looks like you are on Solaris - so am I, and I connect to the data domains via Fiber Channel. BOOST does NOT work over Fiber Channel (yet) for all Solaris servers.

I believe if you are using IP, you should be able to set up the DD as a disk target over IP, and use BOOST that way.

However, that is more of a Data Domain discussion, you should definitely speak with EMC...

NetBackup 8.3.0.1 on Solaris 11, writing to Data Domain 9800 6.2.1.0
duplicating via SLP to LTO5 in SL8500 via ACSLS
