Is it possible to restore a db2 windows backup taken from 7.7.3 master/client version to 8.1.2?

We have the production environment with NBU 7.7.3 Master and Clients. And a DR with 8.1.2 Master and Client.

Is it possible to restore the DB2 windows backup taken from 7.7.3 Master and Client to 8.1.2 Master and Client?

Hello,

there is a general principle that " Backup images created under an older version of NetBackup will always be recoverable with a newer version of NetBackup". (see https://www.veritas.com/bin/support/docRepoServlet?bookId=NB_80_OSSCL&requestType=pdf, page 56).

Of course supposing that your Windows/DB2 version combination is also in compatibility list for 8.1.2 version.
