Is there a way to get the cartridge table summary from the ACS from the command line?

I'd love to get the cartridge table summary report info via command line.

Presently I have to log in to SLCONSOLE and go to TOOLS>REPORTS>CARTRIDGE TABLE SUMMARY

Any clues? I'd appreciate it!!

Best,

Mario

I think ACSLS volrpt command is what you are looking for.

Hi Mario,

Your question doesn't seem to relate to NetBackup, unless you are looking for an equivalent type of output from NetBackup?  I'm guessing that you have a StorageTek tape library, so Oracle would be the first point of call.  Unless your tape library can be accessed via SSH (and the reports are available via that method) I guess you're out of luck.

If you're looking to try and get something similar out of NetBackup, then I would say these may be options:

  • Use the vmcheckxxx command (Volmgr\bin folder)
  • If you have Vault you may be able to get something there
  • A screen dump of the libray contents (probably not as useful as text output)
  • I'm sure someone else will chime in with some other commands (probably from the Volmgr\bin folder)

Hope this helps,

Steve

Hi Mario,

I'm not sure what model StorageTek you have, but I see references in their doco to various API's and command-line methods, some of which can be installed on a Unix/Linux host.  Here's a link to one example in their manuals:

The ACSLS (text-only) Command-line Interface (CLI)

https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E63255_01/ACSAD/appen_accessibility.htm

They may not give you the exact same output as your report, but you may get close.
