Job was partially successful?

I've got e-mail reporting setup now, with my new installation.  The first report I received said the backup job was "partially successful".  But it didn't go into any details to explain what that meant.  Anyone know how I can get those details, and figure out what wasn't successful?

Go look at the job in the GUI - the detail screen will list the files it could not backup.

Odd...

The e-mail tells me partially successful, but the details tab shows everything went fine, no missed/skipped files.

You may want to build some script files for managing partial backups.

If you want the information in text form then you can use the bperror command

$INSTALL_DIR\netbackup\bin\admincmd\bperror

/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/bperror

bperror -jobid xxxxxx

There is a man page on the bperror command in the NetBackup Commands Admin Guide

whitepaper 278554.doc

Status Code: 1

The requested operation was partially successful

It did give a Status Code 1, so I'll take a look at that doc and see if I can see why.

Thanks :)

If the job has a code of 1.  Then the details always has what the error was, it will not be at the bottom of the details but up about the middle of the details it aways says what it had an issue with.
