KMS db write failed

Hi Experts,

I using NetBackup version 7.0, It is ok. Now I want to encypt data.

I am installing KMS with commands

==> nbkms -createemptydb

Enter a passphrase for theHostMaster Key: ********

Enter an HMK ID: 123456

Enter a passphrase for the Key Protection Key: ********

Enter a KPK ID: 123456

 

But it error:

KMS db write failed - some changes may have been made
EXIT STATUS = 1277

What should i do ?

Not real sure as I had not issue in this.

1) remove the <installdir>/openv/kms dir and start over

2) I know you are showing an example of 123456 for the ID names, so not sure if you are putting in the same name for both or not.  I would make sure they are both different.  And both have different pass phrases.   That is because the first one encrypts stuff that the second one uses, and the second one encrypts the real database.  So if somebody figured out the one of them they would know both of them.
