LDM and error 13

Level 6
When running a backup of a client an error 13 occurs. VSP is disabled on the
client but I can see in the system event log that LDM has issues:-

event ID 1500 - cannot open \Device\DmControl\DmConfig: Device is already
open
event ID 1503 - The Logical Disk Manager Administrative Service failed while
registering for device notifications. Win32 Error: 0
event ID 2 - S_Initialize(): (C1000003).
event ID 2 - Unspecified error (80004005).

Then LDM wil thenl enter the running state:

The Logical Disk Manager Administrative Service service entered the running
state.

The backup initiates at the same time as the LDM issues occur. bpbkar logs
stop, so the process seems to hang.

seem there is problem with your hard disks, try dowload dmdiag.exe from the link below and check it out.

DMDIAG is a utility that looks into the LDM data - what sort of switches will need to be used in order to clear up this error msg displayed in my event log?

DMDIAG -v >> filename.txt will list the LDM info - this will give u LDM header info + config - how will this clear up the errors?

Thanks
