Did you select 'enable individual file restore' on the VMware backup policy which saved the Linux VM?

See page 18 of the VMware support doc - linked above. Is XFS listed as supported?
11-19-2015 06:01 AM
that mean there is no single file recovery support for rhl7 64bit either ext4 or xfs. not good
11-19-2015 06:30 AM
in the document under http://www.veritas.com/docs/000006177
RHL7(64bit) File-level recovery is supported for virtual machines that use the 32-bit version of the ext4 file system.
Support for the XFS and ext4 (64bit) file systems is planned for a future release
and
as remark for RHL32bit
NetBackup 7.x no longer includes Linux 32-bit clients.
Consequently , file-level restore directly to the Linux 32-bit virtual machine is not possible.
I canot undertsand! can any one built 32bit ext4 filesystem on an RHL 64bit OS?
