LibAttach version query for NetBackup

I am setting up a pair of new Windows Media servers using drives in a StorageTek SL8500.  Unlike our Solaris Media Server, to allow the Windows servers to talk to ACS / LibraryStation I need to install software.

I looked through the NetBackup 7.x Hardware Compatibility List dated 2012-02-21 and it states that Windows servers using ACS - Oracle Automated Cartridge System requires LibAttach 1.4.2 from Oracle.

I spoke to an Oracle representative and he informed me that LibAttach 1.4.2 was announced as End of Support in June 2010 and said that LibAttach 1.4.3 is the current version.

Should the HCL state that it "LibAttach 1.4.2 or greater" is required or even suggest LibAttach 1.4.3 instead?

I think your point is reasonable, I will email the author of the document and make the request.

Any changes that are made will be in a future version.
