Bear in mind that you need to go to the Tape drive section of the HCL to check for LTO compatibility.
(There is no such thing as LTO 2 ,LTO3 , LTO 4 Library)
The different tape drive manufacturers are listed separately in the HCL.
Tape Library compatibility is in a different section in the HCL and is not related to the type of drives in the library.
Check for compatibility and support with the library and tape vendor as well - LTO2 and LTO3 have reached End of Support with most manufacturers.
