Licensing for VMWare

Good day

I'm running Windows 2003 SP2 R2 32bit Master /Media Server, Netbackup 6.5.4.

I have 12 ESX Hosts, however I'm taking normal client backups (installing Netbackup Client agent on each VM) and not taking snapshots. I just want to know what kind of licenses I should be using, is it the standard client license or Enterprise client license. My ESX hosts have 2 processors each.

Kind regards

For VMware Client based backup, you need Standard Client license as minimum requirement.

>> You Need NetBackup Enterpise Client.

>> Enterprise Client (license based on tier of ESX server) per OS type for EACH ESX server

>> Media Server license or an Enterprise Client license for the Proxy Server.

Reference Doc for licensing is attached

Thank you Rizwam, however just to be clear I want to make clear that I'm backing them up "Client in Virtual Machine" and NOT using the "Off-host using VMware VCB" method.

Will I still need an Enterprise license if I'm not using the VCB Mothod, or would I only need a Standard Client License.
