Hi All,
I knows about the vmware license, licensing netbackup and app or database agent per host or ESX with Enterprise Client tier X (tiering with amount of processor socket).
How about if all guest house in the ESX use the Standart Client (no tiering).
My question what tiering if We use app or database agent in the guest house ?. (following the amount of processor socket the media server or the ESX server).
Regards

I see you have a 'Partner' badge next to your name.
Have you downloaded the NBU 7.6 Licensing Guide from PartnerNet?
If you still have doubts, best to discuss licensing queries with your local Symantec SE.

If you're using VMware to backup the guests you need Enterprise Client Licenses for each ESX host
If you're using inguest method to backup the guests you need Standard Client Licenses for each ESX host

Hi Riaan,
"If you're using inguest method to backup the guests you need Standard Client Licenses for each ESX host"
You mean if I have four guests host in one EXS host, just only need one Standard Client Licenses?
Next question :
If guests host have the database, we must be buy the App/Database agent Licenses. How about the tiering for this licenses ?

You need App/DB license of sufficient tier for each physical server. For example, Tier 2 App/DB license covers all instance on 2 or 3 CPU socket server.
