Linux filesystem restore painfully slow

Please assist. I have a Windows 2008 Netbackup 6.5.4 Master/Media server connected to a VTL via fibre. I also have linux clients which I backup over the LAN at speeds of about 30MB/s. I am now trying to restore the /opt filesystem of one of the clients and the restore is taking forever running at about 100KB/s and I'm supposed to restore 60GB. What could be wrong? Please help.

The issue was with Symantec Endpoint Protection on the Windows Master/Media. Disabled Endpoint and my restores now flying

Ensure that client's network card is set to full duplex and not to auto. For some or other reason, auto only seems to affect restores.

This also applies when you are doing backups using application agents like exchange.
Symantec Endpoint scans every file being handled by netbackup.
We had this issue with a few customers.
