So, I was TEMPTED to put "LiveUpdate is driving me crazy" in the title, but those who know me might make the obvious comment..
Finally got all my master servers and media servers at 7.6.1.1 but all my clients are stuck at 7.5.0.6
Using a Windows 2008 master server for LiveUpdate. Always worked before.
Downloaded the two 'tar.gz" files, unzipped them into the C:\inetpub\wwwroot\LiveUpdate directory, which is where all the other update packages resided. Nope, didn't update a test client past 7.5.0.6.
Well, I'm thinking, all that old junk in there. Emptied out C:\inetpub\wwwroot\LiveUpdate and then put all the unzipped stuff in there. Here's what I got, at least the first screen:
Same thing.
Okay, well, I have to restart IIS, I figure. Just to be on the safe side, rebooted the whole machine.
Same thing.
Even the detailed messages say 7.5.0.6
What the DICKENS am I missing? Do i have to unzip more that the stuff I did? It just "feels" like there's something somewhere I should have updated. Can't find it though.
Really appreciate any info in the probably vain attempt to save my sanity.

Thanks so much for the assist, Jaweedaziz... I'm reading and trying to figure out where I went wrong.

FOUND IT!!
Partly in what jaweedaziz referred to, and partly from this :
http://practical-admin.com/blog/how-to-netbackup-live-update-server-nblu/
Had to configure the Default Web Site, liveupdate, for directory browsing
and
had to update MIME information.
Why I had to do this after this machine's IIS had been happily serving up NetBackup LiveUpdates for years, no idea. I must have changed something, but I'm just happy it's working!
